Technologist
I am a technologist, with a Ph.D. in Biology. I have been working in the GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory of the EBD-CSIC for more than ten years, and in 2025 I moved to the ICM-CSIC, being part of the iMARES group and the Data Science Service. I have addressed studies through multidisciplinary approaches based mainly on spatial and geographic focus, as Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing and spatial modelling.
Current Research:
My research during last years is focused on investigating the ecological responses of marine predators, in terms of foraging and breeding performance, to the spatio-temporal variability of their environmental conditions. I am particularly interested in evaluating the changes that climate and human stressors have promoted in marine habitats, and how these changes impact in the upper levels of food webs, particularly in seabirds.
