PhD Candidate
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Alicante and a Master’s in Oceanography and Marine Management from the University of Barcelona. My research interests focus on marine ecology and connectivity, specifically spatial patterns and ecosystem interactions.
For my Bachelor’s thesis, I analysed the spatial distribution of Delphinus delphis in the Azores. During my Master’s at CEAB-CSIC, I investigated the ecological consequences of habitat fragmentation in Mediterranean macroalgal forests, focusing on changes in structural species and associated molluscan communities. Additionally, I worked at ICM-CSIC studying zooplankton dynamics under thermal stress.
I am currently pursuing a PhD focused on functional connectivity in pelagic ecosystems. My research emphasizes trophic ecology and the influence of environmental variability on marine food webs.
Current Research:
My research is part of the OCEANIC project and focuses on functional connectivity in pelagic ecosystems of the Western Mediterranean. I study trophic connectivity in fish communities and investigate how structural connectivity may modulate trophic interactions, ecosystem functioning, and resilience to global environmental change.
