PhD candidate
I hold a BSc in Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Oceanography and Marine Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona. My academic and professional experience has focused on marine ecology, conservation and environmental education.
During my MSc, I studied the trophic ecology and habitat use of Mediterranean mesopelagic fish using stable isotope analysis. I have also participated in research projects on cetacean ecology and marine biodiversity, as well as environmental education and outreach activities. My professional experience includes working as a marine educator and environmental technician.
Current Research:
My current research focuses on the trophic ecology and habitat use of Mediterranean mesopelagic fish. I combine stable isotope analysis of otoliths and muscle tissue with ecological and modelling approaches to investigate their feeding strategies, habitat use and distribution. This research aims to better understand the role of mesopelagic fish in marine food webs and how environmental variability may influence their ecology and distribution in the Mediterranean Sea.
